We are Nuffic, the Dutch organisation for internationalisation in education. from primary and secondary education to vocational and higher education, research and adult education. We are a bridge between our clients, the educational field and knowledge institutions at home and abroad. In the midst of this rapidly changing international and national environment, we assist schools and educational institutions in the field of internationalisation and international cooperation. Partnerships and Programme Developer

Education is the engine for growth. As a Partnerships and Programme Developer at Nuffic you will contribute to the improvement and expansion of our international collaboration and education programmes. By exchanging and building knowledge, Nuffic helps individuals and organisations worldwide to develop. By doing this we aspire to contribute to a future in which everyone can participate in a peaceful and prosperous world. In our Global pillar, we work on international knowledge and capacity development programmess with countries in Africa, Asia and South America, such as the Orange Knowledge Programme, HOPES-LEB and EU-SHARE.

The Partnerships & Programme Development Team is committed to developing new and improving existing programmes in close collaboration with local stakeholders and partners such as sister organisations. Additional to the development of bilateral programmes (for example the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Nuffic explores the options for programmes funded by the EU. The current emphasis is on the regions Middle East and North Africa, Southeast Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.

What are you going to do?

  • You identify opportunities and develop new international education programmes and other forms of knowledge collaboration in close consultation with colleagues and external partners. The emphasis is on new opportunities with EU funding;
  • You are a project leader for a wide range of projects, from acquisition processes to the organisation of high-level events aimed at existing or new partnerships and programme development;
  • You develop and maintain a network of external stakeholders in the Netherlands, Europe and in the countries where we are active;
  • You will go on identification missions in countries where we work to obtain new information, strengthen and expand networks, and identify opportunities;
  • You regularly visit Brussels to establish and maintain contacts with the European Commission and partners, such as sister organisations. Overseas travelling will occur 2-3 times a year for 1-2 weeks;
  • You contribute to the financial acquisition objective of the team.

What do you bring?

  • You have a university degree and at least five years of work experience, preferably in business/programme development;
  • You have demonstrable experience in project leadership and management;
  • You speak and write excellent (C1) English and French. Proficiency in Arabic or Portuguese is a plus;
  • You have experience with international (knowledge) cooperation and the implementation of international programmes for funders such as the EU and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
  • You are willing to travel and work abroad, possibly for longer periods;
  • You are proactive, quickly adopt new information and like to work independently and on a project basis. You are able to get projects off the ground, including developing financial propositions.

The following competencies are essential for the position: result oriented, networking skills, cooperation, and project management skills and persuasiveness.

  • The gross salary for this position is € 5.127 (gross, maximum per month) based on fulltime employment (38 hours, salary scale 11, CAO Nederlandse Universiteiten). The exact amount depends on your education and experience;
  • Nuffic has excellent secondary benefits. The holiday allowance is 8% of your annual gross salary, the end-of-year bonus 8.3% of your annual gross salary and you are entitled to a paid holiday leave of 232 hours per calendar year (over 6 weeks);
  • You will receive a full public transport travel allowance for travel to work based on second class public transport. In addition: you can exchange benefits to your liking. For example to increase your salary you can exchange holidays;
  • You will be employed for 38 hours per week for a period of one year with possible extension.
